Obituary of Lieselotte K. Butterfield

Lieselotte (Lisa) K. Butterfield, 88, of Chesterfield, NJ passed away peacefully on May 15, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Stauf, Germany she immigrated to the United States in 1957. She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Bordentown, NJ for 57 years, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Women's Guild and many other activities at the church. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, travelling, and crafting, but most of all she valued the time spent with her family. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's and great-grandson's sporting events and other school functions. Daughter of the late Herman and Charlotte Fiscus (nee Willig) she is predeceased by her husband, Bertram Jr. and son, Bertram III as well as her brothers Guenther and Helmut Fiscus of Germany. She is survived by her brother, Gerhard Fiscus and family also of Germany, her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Sepp Aschbacher, daughter Joanna Butterfield, her grandson, Lukas Aschbacher, her granddaughters, Nicole Stevens, Kelly Jakab (Stevens), and Sabrina Aschbacher, and great-grandson, Sean Stevens as well as many other close friends and relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 23 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 280 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505 at 1:00pm. Calling hours will be at 11:00am until services begin. Burial will be at the Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville directly following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
