Joseph Nicholas Wirth from Robbinsville New Jersey was a loving son, brother, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He was married to his loving wife Virginia Wirth for 69 years. He left this world peacefully on July 19, 2023, in Trenton New Jersey just days before his 90th birthday.
Joseph had his own business as an architect and planner. He was involved in numerous projects such as the building of Great Adventure, Mercer County Community College, Bell Telephone, NJ Transit, and other projects around New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He was president of Architects Housing for 25 years and a member of the NJ Society of Architects. He was also on the planning committee of Washington Township.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood shop, and playing golf in his free time. He spent most of his summers in Marco Island, Florida, and Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Wirth, his granddaughters Heather Wilson & her husband Graeme Wilson, Amy Nolan & her husband Michael Nolan, his great-grandchildren Sedona Nolan, Bodhi Nolan, and Rion Nolan, his sister in law Joanie Alpaugh, her husband Tom Alpaugh, his sister in law Karen Walker, and his cousin Claire McGrath. He is pre-deceased by his son Joseph C. Wirth, brother John Wirth & wife Thelma Wirth, his father John and mother Anna Hamann, and his brother-in-law Charles Walker.
Funeral services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 11:00 am
