Obituary of Edmund J. Gauss

Edmund J. Gauss, 61, of Hamilton, passed away on July 3, 2023. Eddie was a graduate of Steinert High School, Class of 1979. He attended the University of Maryland. He has been employed for many years at the Pennington School, where he also coached soccer. Eddie played soccer in high school, college, and G.A.K. He enjoyed, fishing, hunting, and the Jersey Shore. Son of the late Adam Gauss, he is survived by his beloved mother Ann Gauss, his sister Linda M. Schmitt, his niece Mikayla Schmitt, uncle and aunt Jake and Barbara Gauss and family, cousins Rick and Connie Wiener, Ingrid and Eric Johnson and families, Godmother Eva Franke and family. A special thanks to Eddie's friends for their many kind acts and thoughtfulness during his illness, Greg and Brenda Zanoni, G.A. and Denise Reid, Dan and Kate DeAngelo, and Patrick Murphy. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery 400 Woolsey St. Hamilton, NJ 08610. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Penn Medicine Princeton Cancer Center 1 Plainsboro Rd., Plainsboro Twp., NJ 08536.
