Obituary of Lorraine M. Gankiewicz

Lorraine Marie Gankiewicz of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home in Point Pleasant Beach on June 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was 61. Born October 28th, 1961 to William and Naomi Carpenter, Lorraine hailed from a large but close-knit family as one of eight children. She was only 16 when she met her future husband Joseph Gankiewicz. Their young love would blossom into an incredible forty-four year relationship which resulted in two beautiful children, Joseph Jr. and Rachel. Together, Lorraine and her husband Joseph founded and built a thriving exterior remodeling company which has helped thousands of homeowners across New Jersey and Pennsylvania improve and beautify their homes for over four decades. Lorraine will be remembered for her selfless passion for caring for others. Despite her large family and busy work schedule, Lorraine always seemed to have time for everyone who needed it — her endless love and support was a reliable comfort to countless friends and relatives. She was a doting mother and grandmother, a loving wife, a loyal sister, a compassionate boss and a cherished friend who will be missed by the countless people whose lives she touched with her love and positivity. Lorraine is survived by her husband Joseph, her children Joe, Rachel, Melissa (daughter-in-law) and Alex (son-in-law) and her grandchildren Parker, Summer and Juliet. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 12:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad Street Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any and all gifts be made in the form of a charitable donation in Lorraine's memory to the Cancer Research Institute.
