Obituary of John E. Taylor

John Taylor, a loving father, grandfather, and fiance, passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 69. John was born on January 26, 1954, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late John and Claire Taylor. John was a devoted father to two daughters, Kate and Krista. He was a loving grandfather to Kate and Adam's daughter, Emerson, and was thrilled to be a part of her life. He was also looking forward to welcoming his future son-in-law, Christian, into the family. John was engaged to his loving fiancee, Liz Nonnemacher, and was excited to spend the rest of his life with her. John worked as a retired night crew manager at ACME markets, where he made many lifelong friends. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his job, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that everything was running smoothly. He was an avid NASCAR supporter and loved cheering on the Miami Dolphins during football season. John also enjoyed spending his time working with Nottingham High School's Marching Unit Star Crew, where he made many cherished memories with his fellow crew members. While involved with the Star Crew he spent countless hours helping to create memorable performances and was always an enthusiastic supporter of the Marching Unit and Nottingham football team. Above all, John loved spending time with his family. Aside from his fiancee, daughters, and granddaughter, he leaves behind two sisters, Janet and Joanne. Both of his sisters were important to him and he always spoke fondly of the memories he had of them growing up. John had a special place in his heart for Long Beach Island, where he spent many summers with his loved ones. Being at the beach and watching a thunderstorm roll in were some of John's favorite things. John also had a passion for trains and it was never surprising to hear that he stopped by the local train station to watch the trains roll in. Spending time at the train station and with the trains allowed John some time to connect with his late father as both shared an affinity for trains and how they worked. John was a kind and generous man who always put others before himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his two daughters, Kate and Krista, son-in-law Adam and future son-in-law Christian, his granddaughter Emerson, his fiancee Liz, former wife Karla and her husband David, as well as many loving friends and family members. His legacy will live on through his family, who will continue to cherish his memory and honor his life. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
