Obituary of Sara Louise Wittekind

Sara Louise Wittekind 88 of Brick, NJ passed away January 17, 2022. Sally was born in Trenton NJ, she has resided in Trenton, then Pt. Pleasant and finally Brick. Sally was a very interesting person of varied interest. She was a certified gemologist and could repair most watches and clocks. This skill was passed down to her by her grandfather and father who ran a successful jewelry business in Trenton for many years. The decorations and floral arrangements in the windows at the jewelry store were testament to her artistic talent. When she wasn't helping her parents out in the store she found time to paint and crochet. Additionally Sally was an accomplished organ player. She will be missed by her cat Sweetie. A member of the American Organ Guild and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Daughter of the late Louis E. Wittekind Jr. and Maxine (Young) Wittekind. Surviving are her cousin John C. Young and his wife Cheryl and daughter Elizabeth of Syracuse, NY and a cousin Evelyn Bennett of Tennessee. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church 16 Virginia Avenue, Manasquan, NJ 08736 Rev. Jim Dunson, Pastor will officiate Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St. Hamilton Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 16 Virginia Ave, Manasquan NJ 08736
