Obituary of Sally A. Mayer

Sally A. Mayer, 81, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2021 surrounded by her children. Born in Trenton, Sally was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Dillion) Adams. She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1958, and was a member of the C.Y.A.C. (Catholic Young Adult Club) where she met many friends and shared lifetime memories. Sally married Nicholas Mayer on November 9, 1968 and enjoyed 52 years together before his passing in December 2020. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, baking, helping others, and provided unconditional love to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart. Daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Dillion) Adams, she is survived by her children, Dorothy and her husband Robert Scranton of Bordentown, Nick Mayer of Hamilton, and Sally and her husband Christopher Corbin of Burlington Twp., her grandchildren Nathan and Rachel Scranton, and Patrick, Katelyn, Connor, and Taylor Corbin, her sisters-in-law Anna Hahn, Mary Vas, Rose Kernast, her nephews Peter Kernast, Ron Kernast, and Joseph Vas and his wife Marlene, her special cousin Doris Petruska, her Special Card Club friends Alice Fodor, Eileen Demko, Elaine Bisignano, the late Angela Moscarello, and many other beloved cousins and friends. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 626 South Olden Ave., Trenton, NJ 08629. Interment will take place in Colonial Memorial Park Cemetery 3039 South Broad St., Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Knott's Colonial Funeral Home 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton, NJ 08610.
