Dear DollAnn, Elizabeth, Camille, Family and Friends of Scott:
I was saddened to learn of the death of Scott on August 3 2017. Please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but at 57 years of age, death is nothing short of tragic.
May I share with you some promises in the Bible that bring comfort at this time of loss?
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life, in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves ... and us. (Romans 5:12)
It is a comfort and softens our feelings toward our Creator, Jehovah God, to learn that it is Satan who causes imperfection, aging, sicknesses like cancer, and death -- not God (Hebrews 2:14).
I am always happy when I remember that the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, are our guarantees that this Earth will yet be a PEACEFUL, global paradise. One day Scott will be resurrected to enjoy it, and so will countless others. Remember Jesus' words at John 5:28-29a and John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life," and "all those in the memorial tombs ... will be resurrected." Until then Scott, sleep, Rest In Peace.
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young (Job 33:24-5) and totally healthy (Isaiah 33:24) Scott!
With deepest sympathy and genuine respect,
Harolyne Grant

My heart is heavy to hear this sad news. I worked with Scott for abot 5 years @ Guckenhiemer. He was the manager at Novellus in San Jose. He was the most professional chef manager in my territory. Scott had a way of making every guest and meal special and the client and customers loved him. One day I showed up for our weekly client meeting and Scott put me to work. He was rolling breakfast burritos to take across the street to sell to the Constitution workers. He told me "I am making a sale lets go hurry up.!!" I followed him as he delivered and made the sales. Totally impressive. Every Friday he cooked outside BBQ and made his Cafe special. Scott and I lost touch but my thoughts and prayers are with him. I know how much he touched so many so we all will miss him so much. I feel lucky to have been able to know him for a short time.

I knew Scott during his stint at Visa in California as our cafe manager. We shared a lot of laughs, and he was such a great positive, high energy presence. We were Facebook friends but I hadn't known about his battle with cancer. I was very sad to learn of his passing. A bright light has gone out of the world. My sympathies go out to his family. He will never be forgotten as long as he lives in your hearts.

Scott, I am shocked. I remember the day that I walked into Marcello's to celebrate my last chemo treatment as you were just about to start your journey. My heart broke for you because I understood your fear of the unknown. I understood the gravity of your diagnosis and the odds. I knew that you had a long, hard fight in front of you. But, never did I think about you not winning that fight. I believed that one day I would be drinking a toast to your last treatment, just as you lovingly celebrated me. I am so sad, Scott. Rest easy.

Scott, you were and always will be a very special man and certainly one in a billion. I am still struck with utter grief over your unexpected and sudden departure from this world and our lives. There are times in this world when things happen that don't make sense and losing you is no exception. What I do know is the Lord above always has a plan for each one of us, I just wish he wouldn't have taken you so soon. I still expected to do much more with you in this life time, like travel or just hang out. Your bubbly and sprite like spirit could illuminate any room by your infectious smile, wonderful sense of witty humor and Dapper sense of style. No doubt I walk with a very heavy heart knowing I can never pick up the phone to talk to you again and hear your wonderful chipper voice. I know you have touched so many lives and I know you know that we all loved you! I will always, always MISS you because I CARED and LOVED you that much Scott. And I am sure you are up there with your Dad and your brother. You were definitely a shining star in my life and always will be. God Bless You always Scott you dear, dear wonderful man. My life has forever been enriched because of you. Love you always bud, Victor

My partner Maurice and I were so devastated at hearing yesterday of Scott's passing. Scott had just phoned us a couple of days ago to check in and describe what he was going through, how much he missed seeing us and laughing together. We never dreamed his passing was so imminent.
We only knew Scott through Marcello's from when he first began there but considered him a good friend. We always looked forward to seeing him there and sharing a story or two.
Hoping his passing was peaceful and that he is in a better place. No one deserves suffering such as he endured.
